The Friday Five
The Friday Five is a fairly new blogging tradition. Each week you answer 5 questions that you can post of your weblog. It’s fun to be a little introspective once in a while.
1. What is your favorite restaurant and why? That’s a tough one. It’s for sure mexican so I would have to say Taco Loco on Van Dyke at 24 mile road. They have the best nachos there.
2. What fast food restaurant are you partial to? I’m easy here. McDonald’s, Arby’s, Taco Bell and Wendy’s to name a few.
3. What are your standards and rules for tipping? I like to tip well when I get good service. If the server treats me like someone special, their tip reflects that.
4. Do you usually order an appetizer and/or dessert? Never. We are usually too stuffed to eat dessert.
5. What do you usually order to drink at a restaurant? Usually Diet Coke (or Pepsi) or Iced Tea. I rarely just have water. When I do get water, I like a slice of lemon in it.
Speaking of favorite places, did you see the “Best of Michigan” list in the Detroit News. Some of the winners were our favorites too. Check it out here.

Headlights ON please
You are a complete and utter MORON if you don’t turn on your headlights when its raining. If it is because you forgot to turn them on, then you are an even bigger idiot. You MUST be in complete control and aware of EVERYTHING aspect of your car and your surroundings at ALL TIMES when you are driving.
If you can’t handle these simple tasks, then get out of my freakin’ way and WALK.
Want to appear even more stupid in my book? Only have your parking lights on while you drive in a torrential downpour. Yeah, nobody can see you very well but you sure do look cool. If you took the time to switch the parkers on, why not flick the switch all the way?
Headlights are not only for nighttime people.

An Hour Later
We got all the clocks moved ahead this morning. We also checked our smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
There was a book sale at a neighborhood church so we went to check it out. By the time we arrived, the place was closing. They told us as we walked in that everything is free, take whatever you want. So we grabbed a bag and started filling it up. Everything was pretty much picked over but we managed to fill up a paper grocery bag. It was particularly fun watching the others looting the place like there was no tomorrow. I just love the humanity of people when something is given to them for free and someone else gets in their way.
I didn’t do much on the site this weekend. I want to get the other pages up from the old site and also add a photo gallery. In searching for one, I found a neat PHP app called “Gallery.” The installation documentation is a bit confusing but I will give it a try.
Here’s a cool picture of Alpha, one that I will place in the gallery. What do you think?

SpaceRocks
The Wild Tangent people were in the office today. While they were waiting for their meeting, I bust into the room to talk with them. I noticed some cool graphics on one of their laptops and went in to ask them about it. They introduced themselves and showed me the coolest game I’ve seen in a long time - SpaceRocks 2. It’s an updated version of their original game which is an updated version (very updated) of Asteroids. I spent more time in front of the TV mindlessly playing Atari’s Asteroids than any other game ever.
I’m anxious to get a copy of the new game when it goes on sale. I got their card, maybe I will mooch a copy of my two new friends from Wild Tangent.

No Enterprise

Which Colossal Death Robot Are You?
Powerloafing is something fun to do.
I really got the red ass when I saw Enterprise wasn’t on tonight. There are very few things I look forward to in my life. Sigh.

Another Day Off
I could get spoiled having all this time off from work. Chrysler is closed today for the Easter holiday. Pam decided to take it off too. We have a full day of activities planned.
