A different blog
bo logh is a weblog in Klingon. It’s very weird but the strangest part is I actually understand some of the words. I have to get out more.
Switch to Firefox, you’ll be glad you did. I rarely use Internet Explorer any longer. The new version 0.9 came out a short time ago. The many enhancements liked tabbed browsing, no pop-ups and themes make it the best browser out there.
Don’t call me a heretic. Visit God Checker for “your guide to the Gods.” This site’s mythological database is extensive, well designed and fun to browse. I spent a good deal of time looking it over.

And Then
The Infinite Cat Project seems to be a pretty cool concept. It’s a series of images of cats looking at other cats.
As soon as I turned the comment system back on here, I get spammed. Some jerkoff kept comment spamming me all weekend. I immediately delete the comment and block his IP address but he changes it and sends more. The MT-Blacklist app I use works pretty well but every now and then someone gets through. This person was particularly annoying so I reported him to Yahoo. They claim his email address is spoofed and there is nothing they can do to help. It figures.
Want a good (and free) email account? Gmail is the way to go. I’ve been using it for about a week now and it rocks. The interface is clean and even the ads on the side are unobtrusive.
An alternative to Gmail is Adventuremail. They offer a whopping 2 GB of storage. I haven’t checked it out but I hear it’s pretty good.

Invites
I got my first 3 Gmail invites today. Sorry, they’re already gone.
Don’t ask me. Ask Pud.

Fireworks ruined by gunfire
Detroit had it’s annual Freedom Festival fireworks display last night downtown. Millions of people went down with their families to have fun and see the awesome display. Then someone started shooting. 9 people in the crowd were wounded and the shooter hasn’t been caught. Nice.

Speed Limit 25
Question: when you are driving and see construction ahead and a sign that says “speed limit 25,” how fast do you go? That’s right 25 mph. So don’t tailgate me with a digusted look on your face when I obey the freaking law and drive slow. If you’re in such a big hurry, go around me you f—ing idiot.
I got my Gmail account. Now I’ll stop my whining. It’s funny when I got my invitation, it was automatically placed in my Yahoo’s spam folder. Wonder why they are marking these messages as spam? Could it be they don’t like the competition?
The gmail loader will help me transfer messages from other email accounts to Gmail. That’s convenient.
Jeep Liberty designers: why couldn’t you have made the visor extend more when you have it on the side window? It’s totally useless when you switch it over there because it’s too damn short. The sun visor on Pam’s PT slides out to extend all the way and block any sunlight. The GM rental car last weekend had an extension that slide out to block the sun. It’s very annoying not to have that simple feature.

Very close
I’m very close to getting a Gmail account. With the help of the media people at work, I should be gmailing soon.
I’ve (finally) added a search bar on the right. Now you can reference the vast archives of FSB quickly and easily. The new design is slowly coming. By the time I settle on something good, I want to change it. Working on it during the day is hard, people keep wanting me to help them with their computers. Sheesh. I’ll get motivated soon and do the updates.
The Internet is extremely slow today, has anyone else noticed?
“A photo is worth a 1000 words.”
I FOUND this site while surfing around. It’s a great idea and a good site.
Quick, get me a mirror… it’s elgooG.

More iPod fun
Ipod Anonymous is another site devoted to my beloved iPod. Of all my gadgets, that thing has to be my favorite. This one shows a humorous side of the iPod.
Voluntary Collective Licensing is a great solution for the peer to peer music sharing problems we are having. I’d gladly pay for my music if it was reasonably priced and easily accessible.
We just got back from Sturgeon Bay in Wisconsin. We stayed at this quiet resort right on Green Bay with beautiful sunsets every evening. They say the water was once filled with sturgeon but now they are all but gone. To honor their city’s namesake, artistic statues of sturgeon are placed all over town. Pam and I had a blast trying to find them scattered around.

FSB 2.0 Coming Soon
I’ve been busy updating the site that I’ve neglected to post anything new. I’ve collected a bunch of cool links and I thought I would wait until the new design. But it’s taking longer than I figured. Doing personal business at work isn’t that easy any longer. My users come up to me asking for support so I have to stop what I’m doing and go over to help. Sheesh.
“A privately-built manned spacecraft has reached a record altitude of 212,000 feet over California on one of its final tests before officially entering space.” Named Spaceship One, the craft is competing with others for a $10 million prize. This stuff is really cool.
The New Contract for a New America is a no-nonsense list of things we can do to “fix our country.” Read it and you’ll be impressed.
Their Circular Life is an awesome project detailing a scene and what happens during a 24 hour period.
