Switched
Windows is out. Macintosh is in. I made the switch yesterday. The announced pricing of Windows Vista, the tedious delays with its release and its lackluster features were major factors in my decision. I’m sick of the slow performance, virus, spyware attacks and frequent lockups with Windows.
We’ve all seen the clever commercials with the two guys, one a PC and the other a Mac. They are all very true. I literally opened the box and had my iMac running within 5 minutes. There were only three cables to attach everything worked right away. A nice feature was the absence of the stupid preloaded programs that I’ll never use like AOL. The Mac is plain and simple and a breeze to use.
So far everything I did with Windows I can do with the iMac. And I can still run Windows using Bootcamp or Parallels. It’s the best of both worlds. So now I’ll be on the Mac bandwagon promoting it everywhere I go.

Auf Wiedersehen
Christoph - farewell, my friend. You will be missed by many people with me at the top of the list. It was a pleasure getting to know you and I enjoyed our conversations about your life back in Germany. Take care, buddy and please stay in touch. And be warned that next time we meet, I will kick your ass playing golf.
