Flashcan is tons of fun. Using Flash, you can create greeting cards to send to other people. Then use the chat feature, configure a cool avatar and interact with others visiting the site. But the best thing there is the animator area. You choose a scene and actually create small flash movies using the tools and clipart available. It’s awesome.

You know that Stargate was one of my favorite movies and the TV series on Showtime is one of my top 3 shows. Now the series has moved from Showtime to the SciFi channel. Even with commercials, the show continues to be great. One of the main characters left the show and was replaced by Corin Nemec, a pretty good actor. So if its Friday night and you want to call me after 9pm, leave voicemail because Stargate is on. It’s followed by the new season of Farscape so I’m pretty booked up for the evening.

Governor Engler of Michigan announced last week a new online resource called “Michigan’s e-Library.” It’s advertises itself as having archives of over 1600 popular, business and health periodicals. There is also access to over 10,000 ebooks. Sign in using your Michigan drivers license number. If you want to see one way your tax dollars are working, here’s a good example. Outside of this site, you would have to pay for a lot of the resources provided here for free.
