Nothing much

The holidays are over and I have time to start updating my blog again. Well they’ve been over for several months so I don’t have any excuses. I don’t update too often because I really don’t have much to talk about. But Mark reminds me I don’t really have to talk about anything, my usual whining is entertaining enough.

So I’m back and today I’d like to talk about how much I like my iMac. I use it to listen to music, watch movies, organize my pictures and of course, surf the internet. I know I could do all of this with any Windows machine but it’s so much nicer on the Mac.

With my recent acquisition of Photoshop CS3, the migration away from Windows is complete. I have no reason to use a Windows machine except at work.

I used to keep my old Windows systems running to use as data storage but I don’t bother with them any longer. I place the hard drives into a USB enclosure and that’s all I need to access my archived stuff.

Check out the picture of Lucy and Strawberry on the Flickr site.

Andy, congratulations on your second retirement.

New Project

My brother Jeffery has a new project for the year. It’s his plan to take one picture for every day of the year. By doing this he hopes to become a better photographer by sharpening his skills with each day’s photo. I also enjoy the captions he creates for these photos. Check it out, the site promises to be very entertaining.

Updates

I’ve settled on a design (again) and added a few new features to the site. What do you think?

Check out the rotating Fractured Quotes in the Sidebar and also the new Ajax-ified Tagboard. You can leave quick comments with the Tagboard as you’re reading the site.

Have fun.

About

Online in one form or another since 1996, Frontsideback is Michael Feldstein’s personal web site.

The archives only go back to January 2002 because of the Christmas Incident in 2001 where all my old entries were lost. Almost 5 years of extremely entertaining stories were lost to the world.

You wouldn’t know it by looking at me, but I can run really fast.

Other people’s bad driving habits will be the end of me. Years of therapy hasn’t helped. This weblog allows me to vent about it and sometimes I feel better.

Let me know what you think of the site, call anytime.

Still configuring

I’ve been going back and forth between different Wordpress templates and today’s choice is this one. I plan on adding some more color and a few other features.

Now back to the show

After a terrible slump, I’m finally back updating my weblog. The house sale, packing and moving kept me busy and I let the weblog go for a long while. They say selling your house is one of the most stressful things you can do in your life. I agree. But I’m back, and I have plenty to bitch about, so let’s get started.

What’s the deal with that new movie about the World Trade Center? I really hate these people using that terrible tragedy to make money. They may claim their reasons are to help us remember the “fallen heroes” but I know the bottom line is money. I didn’t like the idea of the other movie about Flight 93 where the passengers stopped the terrorists from reaching their target. And I certainly don’t like this new one that exploits the events of the WTC attack. I plan on skipping this one and all others that these bloodsuckers produce.
