Recovering nicely, thank you
My computer crashed the other day. I had a problem with the CD-ROM drives disappearing from Windows that turned out to be an issue with a recent install of Nero. Not realizing it at the time, I tried the usual tricks to get them to work. I continued to fiddle around and did something to cause the computer to stop booting. Luckily I had a recent backup and restored everything with no problem. Now I have a fresh copy of Windows and the computer is running great. I should crash my computer more often. The problem is it’s time-consuming to reload all the apps I regularly use.
Here are a few of my favorites:
MS Office 2003 - very useful
Dreamweaver MX - web page creator
Photoshop CS - image editor
Crimson Editor - Windows Notepad replacement
Firefox - use this instead of Internet Explorer
Roxio Easy CD Creator 6 - CD burning software
iTunes - manages my iPod and MP3 files
Microsoft Digital Image Suite - organizes my digital photos
I only have 3 more days of work this year. That’s good because I’m so busy with personal stuff, that work was starting to interfere. We are planning a short getaway after Christmas. I also have several projects that I’ve been meaning to get done. With almost 3 weeks off from work, it will be a perfect time to do them.
