You Can Dance If You Want To

Remember Dancing Paul? Well he’s at it again with this clever site. I played around with it for quite a while the other night.

Ever wonder what’s inside a floppy?

William Orbit (www.williamorbit.com) puts out some great music. I found him on the newsgroups, my regular haunt for MP3 files. Forget about Kazaa, Limewire and Morpheus. Use EasyNews instead. The sheer fantastic volume of music stored on these servers (20,000 songs times 500 MP3 newsgroups) means you can find anything you want. For 10 bucks a month, EasyNews is a great bargain.

How do you make a VCD, SVCD or DVD? Go here and find out. My living room’s DVD player is Video CD compatible. That means I can take an MPG file that my new camcorder creates, convert it to VCD format (with Nero 5.5) and watch it in my player. This CD only holds 700 MB but it’s enough for my home videos.

Pocket PC breakthrough: I can now browse my home network, map drives and print using my iPAQ. Well, I thought it was cool. I also found an app where you can use your computer’s keyboard to enter info on your Pocket PC. It’s called, strangely enough “Remote Keyboard.”
